NCC: AT A GLANCE
The NCC, started in 1948, with 20000 cadets, today is the largest uniformed youth organisation in the world with more than 14.5 lakh cadets. With Headquarters (HQs) at New Delhi, NCC, a tri-service organisation under the Ministry of Defence, today has 17 State Directorates, 98 Group HQs and 825 NCC Units from Army, Air Force and Naval Wings.
Origin of NCC can be traced back to the “University Corps”, which was created under the Indian Defence Act 1917, with the objective to make up for the shortage in the Army. In 1920, when the Indian Territorial Act was passed, the “University Corps” was replaced by the University Training Corps (UTC).
In 1948, the Girls Division was raised in order to give equal opportunities to school and college going girls. The NCC was given an inter-service image in 1950 when the Air Wing was added, followed by the Naval Wing in 1952. In the same year, the NCC curriculum was extended to include community development/social service activities as a part of the NCC syllabus.
The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.
Students from Schools and Colleges, join NCC on volunteer basis as Junior cadets for two years and as Senior cadets for three years. Cadets in NCC are exposed to training on Service subjects, Social Service & Community Development, Disaster Management, Attachment training with Army/Air Force/Navy, Sports and Adventure activities. At the culmination of institutional and camp training, successful Junior cadets are awarded 'A' certificate and Senior cadets are awarded 'B'/ 'C' certificate.
“Unity and Discipline” was taken as motto of NCC in the 12th CAC meeting held on 12 Oct 1980.

FOREWORD
The Government of Telangana has been giving major impetus to educational empowerment of marginalized children by launching 22 Tribal welfare Residential Degree Colleges in 2017 and passionately working to place the poorest among the Scheduled Tribes in the prosperous orbit through quality education in English medium up to graduation.
National Cadet Corps is aimed to develop character, leadership, selfless service, patriotism, unity and discipline among the students and motivates them to join the armed forces.
These marginalized students were given opportunity to take up NCC through FSFS in 2021-22. The commanding officer, Col. Samit Karki, NCC 11 Telangana Battalion has sanctioned NCC sub unit to our TTWRDC MARIPEDA College on 08.09.2021 with 52 strength. Sri. Ch. Keshava Reddy, DL in English was appointed as Caretaker, NCC and A PI staff is also engaged to train the cadets. In first year, 17 cadets were selected and trained them through various activities.
In the very first year of establishment, two Cadets of our institution Cdt. Ch. Nanda Keshav and Cdt. B.Naveen has been selected and sent to National Level EBSB camp and got an opportunity to attend the flag hoisting at Red Fort, Delhi and meet the Prime Minister of India Sri. Narendra Modi.

NCC ACTIVITIES FOR THE MONTH OF OCT, NOV-2021
Inspection of college:
Enrolment of cadets:
We have conducted the NCC selections on 24.10.2021. The commanding officer Lt.Col Samit Karki along with Subedar and havaldars visited our college and conducted the physical tests, height and weight check up, certificates verification followed by interview.
We successfully selected 17 cadets.
College council elections:
We have conducted college council elections on 18.11.21. Our NCC cadets helped in maintaining discipline, and conducted the elections in a smooth manner.
Preparation of Training Diary and Schedule:
We prepared the annual training diary and Schedule for the academic year 2021-22. Care taker and PI staff will conduct parade on every Friday apart from the regular PT and Drill activities.
Uploaded articles in Digital Forum:
Cadets, Caretaker and PI staff penned articles on NCC activities and uploaded them in NCC DIGITAL FORUM.As a caretaker, I wrote two articles.

NCC ACTIVITIES DURING THE MONTH OF DEC-2021
Every day in the morning at 5:00am we conduct PT for cadets to boost their efficiency levels and to stay active throughout the day.
In the evening session, we conduct class regarding to NCC and seminars to improve their self confidence in the communication and personality development.
Tributes to Bipin Rawat:
On 8th Dec, Our cadets paid tributes to General Bipin Rawat, the first Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, who died in a helicopter crash on 8th Dec 2021.
ZAttended 10 day orientation at ATC SR and BGNR college:
As part of our 15 day training we attended 10 days training at ATC, SR and BGNR.NCC ACTIVITIES DURING THE MONTH OF JANUARY-2022
The first week of the January month went very smoothly as per the schedule. After Sankranti holidays as per guidelines given by the Telangana government, we took necessary steps for online sessions under the guidance of the principal and Care Taker, during online sessions we involved in the programs like “Surya Namaskar -Azadi ka Amrit Mahostav”,Indian Army Day and also regular PT and NCC classes, our cadets showed their active participation in every event conducted in the online session.
Army day:
Due to covid norms, we conducted online session to pay tribute to our brave soldiers in the presence Principal, vice principal, Care Taker and PI.
PT & ONLINE CLASS:
To maintain consistency fitness we conducted online physical activities and also online classes for NCC subjects.
Surya Namaskar event:
In this event, our cadets got e- certificates from the ministry of Ayush government of India.
NCC ACTIVITIES DURING THE MONTH OF FEB-2022
MORNING PT
:- Everyday in the morning at 5 A.M we conduct physical training for the cadets to boost the efficiency levels and stay active throughout the day , this lasts nearly 1hr.
Running, Stretching, Pull ups and Meditation was conducted in the PT calss.
WEEKLY PARADE:-
We conduct NCC parade every week on Friday which inculcates self discipline and also improves stamina levels . These helps our cadets to participate in compitative camps like RDC and TSC etc. After parade we also provide Refreshment to every cadet.
UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION:-
We distribute the uniform,shoes ,track suit ,and other accessories to every cadet in the presences of principal ,vice principal and caretaker of ncc.
BLACK DAY EVENT:-
On 14 feb 2019, we lost 40 brave CRPF Jawans in bomb attack by the terrorists .
So we prayed tribute to the soldier.
3KM RUN:-
To test the efficiency levels of cadets. We are conducting 3km run in first week of Feb-2022.
RTI COMMISSIONER VISIT:-
RTI Commissioner Guguloth Shanker Naik visited our college on 16.02.2022 and addressed our students about importance of the Right to information Act. In this our cadets played key role in the smooth functioning of overall event.
Arrangement of NCC board
We arranged an NCC board at the college entrance indicating the Coy No / Platoon, Battalion details which is mandatory as per NCC norms.
WEAPON TRAINING BY BN PI STAFF
The PI staff of the Bn. Visited our college and Conducted the weapon training, drill and Map reading classed on 23.03.2022. The cadets learnt about the basics of weapons, do s and don’ts in handling the rifle. They also learnt the map reading practically. The PI staff also conducted the drill.
EBSB selections on 30.03.2022
Cadet Ch. Nanda Keshav has been selected for EBSB (Ek Bharat Shresta Bharat Camp) which is to be held at Ghatkesar from 18 may to 28 may 2022. He is the one among the 39 selected cadets from Bn. We have submitted the camp documents and made all arrangements for the camp
Army Awarenesss Program 31.03.2022:
We sent 3 cadets to Army Awareness Program held on 31.03.2022 at SR and BGNR College, Khammam. The cadets were enlightened about the opportunities in army through NCC.

NCC ACTIVITIES DURING THE MONTH OF APRIL-2022
PT ACTIVITIES:
we conducted physical training in the morning which includes running , pushups , and stretchings and games like volley ball to improve team spirit among them.
WEEKLY PARADE: we conducted parade weekly every Friday. The cadets were trained in Common Subjects and Army subjects along with the drill practice. Refreshment was served after the weekly parade.
ALC SELECTIONS:
ALC (Advanced leadership camp) selections were held on 25.04.2022 at battalion. Three of our cadets participated in the selection and performed well. They took part in the group discussion and elocution conducted by the Commanding Officer.
SHOOTING COMPETETION:
shooting competition was held on 26.04.2022 at Bn, Khammam for 2 days. Our cadets actively participated and performed well in the competition. Cdt. Naveen stood in top 10 of the overall SD.
NCC ACTIVITIES DURING THE MONTH OF MAY-2022
ANO/TRG conference at BN
The care takers/ANOs of 11T Bn attended the TRG conference at Bn. We submitted the detailed plan for ATC and CATC.
Obstacle Course/Dummy Guns
We prepared the detailed budget estimation for obstacle course and procuring Dummy guns for train the cadets in Salami Shastra and Guard of Honour. We submitted the report to the Secretary for further extension of NCC activities.
ATC-1
ATC-(Annual Training camp) was held at TTWRDC KHAMMAM (Lakshya Engineering college, Tanikella Khammam) from 18.05.2022 to 27.05.22. Cadets were trained in firing, sell defence, traffic, fire fighting skill, communication skills, common and Army subjects, drill and PT. They also participated in elocution, debate and cultural activities,
NCC ACTIVITIES DURING THE MONTH OF JUNE-2022
TELANGANA FORMATION DAY- June 2nd:
On 2nd june 2022 we celebrated telangana formation day in our college .
PT ACTIVITIES:-
we conducted physical training in the morning which includes running, pushups , and stretchings and games like volley ball to improve team spirit among them.
YOGA DAY :-
On the occasion of international day of Yoga on 21st june we conducted yoga classes for 3 days in our college.
CATC II:
Four cadets got selected for TSC (CATC-II) conducted at JNV PALAIR. In this camp 4 out of 4 cadets got selected for the next camp i.e., CATC-III
EBSB (SNIC) SELECTIONS:
In this selection camp 2 cadets of our college got selected for EBSB SNIC (INDEPENDENCE DAY CAMP) at Delhi.

CATC III:
Our cadets participated in various activities like shooting, obstacle course, cross country and map reading in CATC-iii held at Mamnoor. Cadet Chander Nayak got 3rd place in cross country (2k Run).
TSC (IGC):
One of our cadets got selected for TSC IGC ( inter group competition) held at Guntur .

NCC activities on the cover page of Gurukulam notebooks:
Gurukulam selected the photographs of NCC activities of our institution and printed it on the cover page of note books.
Plantation of 75 plants @Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav:
As part of Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsava Dwisapthaham our cadets planted 75 saplings in the campus.
2k run:
As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, we participated in 2k run on 11.08.22 from Kargil Center to Ambedkar Circle , Maripeda.
